W: The letter W stands for Winter. To understand, 0W oils are more fluid, while 25W oils have higher viscosity.
API: API stands for American Petroleum Institute. This classification defines the quality that the oil should have according to the engine where it will be applied; for example, if the product has a C, it means it is for diesel engines, while an S indicates it is for gasoline engines.

The C and S classifications can have a second letter that indicates the product's update; for example, the more advanced the letter is in the alphabet, the more adapted it will be to modern engines.
